From the boutique to the campground - what a day!!

So we decided that we need more sun and warmer temps. Google to the rescue ;-) found the lakehead campground, and after a quick call to Cecil, the owner, we had procured the "Lil Kabin" for a few nights at shasta lake. It is an original 50's tip out and is just cool!!!! Oh ya, and 5 minutes from the kayak launch too :-)

EDK, Sam, and the best Carpaccio EVER!!!

We were thinking about a return trip to Rin's Thai, but alas, they are closed on Mondays. So, based on yelp, and a recommendation from mark and lori, we headed to the patio at EDk (aka El Dorado Kitchen). The patio was fabulous, the food was amazing and our server Sam was great!!!

Big standout for me (Kirstin) was the wagyu beef carpaccio. I LOVE Carpaccio, and they add a crispy jasmine rice to theirs that just tops any Carpaccio I have ever had. Sublime.

Our new bestest friend - E :-)

We met an amazing spirited young lady this weekend and feel the need to share our new friendship with our blog readers :-).

Meet Miss E (we're not sure how mom and dad feel about having their daughter's name and photo out there, so she's E to all of you ;-)

We met her at the festivities surrounding Cec and Joel's wedding, and what fun we had together!!! Then as a bonus, last night while wandering Sonoma, out of nowhere, she came running up to us screaming hello :-)

Sonoma....sun, shopping, food and fun!!!

Crossed the Golden Gate and within mere moments, temps were climbing, clouds were breaking and before we knew it, we were warm again with a sky full of sunshine!!!!!!

Hello from foggy San Francisco!!!

Hello world!!! We have been most busy with wedding fun for Cec and Joel!!! All is good and today the vacation truly starts!!! Goal for the morning is to get the hell out of the fog bank known as San Francisco. Headed to Sonoma for a day to relax, shop, drink wine and plan our next move ;-) stay tuned!!!!
